Summary/Objective
The recruiter position is responsible for interviewing, testing and referring applicants for entry level, technical, administrative and management positions throughout the company. This position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all clerical and specialized functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company's organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
 
Essential Functions
  1. Processes job requisitions (MRFs).
  2. Coordinates with hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting process for position(s).
  3. Acts as liaison with area employment agencies and advertising agencies.
  4. Screens and interviews applicants.
  5. Coordinates appropriate employment testing.
  6. Escorting applicants in a security environment from entry to interview/testing floors.
  7. Conducts employment verifications.
  8. Extends verbal and written contingent job offers.
  9. Coordinates background checks and new-hire drug testing.
  10. Completes weekly report on employment activity.
  11. Completes class list with detailed tracking of interview process.
  12. Work independently to reach daily and weekly goals to ensure class fill of qualified applicants.
  13. Owns the hiring process from application to interview to on-boarding to first day attendance

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
 
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional and fast paced office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones and is a secure environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position; days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, starting between 9 and 10:30am ET. Occasionally volume may require OT or support on weekend days.
 
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
 
Required Education, Experience and Skills
  1. Two years of relevant experience
  2. Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills
  3. A positive outlook and upbeat and personality that draws others to you
  4. Self-Starter skills with abilities to work independently and as a team
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
  6. Ability to shift and manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency
  7. Results driven focus and ability to work through to completion in a timely manner
  8. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products to include, but not limited to Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
 
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resources or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) / SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credentials.
